4. The Eagles are eliminated from the postseason and the Cowboys go to the playoffs.

There seem to be two very haunting scenarios that are unfolding right before our eyes. One, the NFC East could realistically be won by a team with a .500 record. That brings us to one very significant second theory. There’s only one way to the postseason in what’s been dubbed as the ‘NFC Least’ on more than one occasion.

The only team that’s getting in is the division winner. If that team isn’t Philly, in all likelihood, the only other option is that team from Texas.

Currently, the Cowboys, now coming off of their bye week, sit with four wins versus only three losses, but that’s not all. Dallas has only two losses versus NFC teams while the Eagles have four. Dallas also beat Philly in the only game these two age-old rivals squared off in versus one another this season.

Next. 1 nice trade idea and 1 that’s horrendous. dark

They’ll meet again on December 22nd, and as mentioned, that one will be important. The difficulty of Philly’s schedule seems to lessen slightly while Dallas’ increases. That could tell the tale, but if there’s any chance that the Cowboys make the postseason and the Eagles don’t, there is a bright side. At least Eagles fans will get to see the Cowboys get crushed on a national stage.
