The NFL trade deadline has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t look back on the best trades of the Doug Pederson era (so far).

When it was all said and done and the dust settled, the Philadelphia Eagles saw the trade deadline come and go without a ton of noise. On its’ eve, Philly swapped a fourth-round draft choice for Genard Avery‘s services. Many thought a cornerback would follow, but that wouldn’t happen. Now, unless ‘The Birds’ add someone who’s sitting on the couch and waiting for a call, this is the team that Doug Pederson will lead as they compete for the NFC East’s crown with.

Those of you who are banging on Eagles vice president and general manager Howie Roseman these days should pump the breaks a little. The team’s done all that it could to add key pieces. It appears that some of the asking prices of other teams have just been too high. It isn’t Roseman’s job to play Fantasy football. He has to balance both the team’s current success with the success of their long-term future.

Now, with the NFL trade deadline over, let’s all take a moment and look back at some of the best trades the Eagles have made during Pederson’s tenure as head coach. Let’s count them down from top to bottom.
