NFL legend congratulates Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz
Following an amazing performance by Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz in the 100th game of his NFL career, he got a congratulatory call from a legend.
To some NFL stars, both current and quite a few in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, ‘Primetime’, a.k.a Deion Sanders might as well be Michael Jordan. In the same vein that you see so many people wearing the number ’23’ in the basketball realm, there have been quite a few legends, especially at the cornerback position that wanted to wear the number ’21’. Well, Philadelphia Eagles star tight end Zach Ertz wasn’t going to be able to do that at the pro level.
He plays tight end, but you can best believe he was tickled to get a call from ‘Prime’ himself.
You see, according to Mr. Sanders, both a legend and the host of the NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Prime, ‘if you ball, you get the call’. Ertz did just that to the tune of nine receptions on 11 targets, racking up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown in the process.
As a result, Ertz got his spot on the first NFL GameDay Prime aired in November. If you missed it live, have no fear. Take a look at ’86’ hanging out with ‘Neon Deion’.
With what we’ve all seen from Ertz, it wouldn’t be too outlandish to assume he’ll make another visit at some point. With that being said, if you missed this one, next time, make sure that you stay up. Hey, it shouldn’t be an issue. After all, Daylight savings Time has given us all an extra hour, so take some No-Doz. Set the clock if you think that you might fall asleep, but if you’re an Eagles fan, make the necessary arrangements to be in front of a television.
Ertz did his thing like he normally does. The first 100 games of his career flew by, and he saved one of his best for his most recent.
