If Cam Newton’s time is, indeed, up in Carolina, could an Eagles rival be among one of the other NFL franchises that could serve as a landing spot?

Recently, Cam Newton‘s status with the Carolina Panthers has been the subject of a few rumors. Though he hasn’t been an NFL owner long, one thing that we can all say about David Tepper is this. Dude wants to win. Whether you’re a fan of Newton’s or not, there are several things that can’t be denied. Going back to Week 9 of 2018, the Panthers are 0-8 with him as the starter. They’re 5-1 since Kyle Allen has taken over, so if 2015’s MVP is done in Charlotte, could one of the Philadelphia Eagles rivals be a possible landing spot?

Don’t call it crazy. Newton may have gone 193 for 297 with nine touchdowns versus ten interceptions over that eight-game losing streak (he didn’t throw a single touchdown pass over his last four starts), but if the Panthers decide to move on, Newton will have a few suitors.

He may be way past his prime and a shell of his former self, but he is better than what quite a few teams have at the quarterback position. Here are eight possible landing spots.
