Timmy Jernigan, defensive tackle

Timmy Jernigan may never be what he once was. Following that offseason procedure that he had following Philly’s Super Bowl run, he hasn’t been the same since. Jernigan missed six weeks of action this season after playing 50 snaps in the team’s first two weeks of action before returning to face the Bears in Week 9. For the season, he has two total tackles and a sack.

It seems wrong to beat him up because he’s been injured, but what’s that old saying? Oh yes, the best ability is availability. Grade: D

Fletcher Cox, defensive tackle

Let’s make long stories short. Fletcher Cox is the Eagles’ best player, but when you’re making well over $11.9 million in 2019 and over $22 million in 2020, 2021, and 2022, his 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 2019 isn’t going to cut it.

He has to be better. Grade: D
