Zach Ertz, tight end

Any complaint about Zach Ertz is unwarranted. No, he hasn’t equaled his production of a season ago, but records are records for a reason. They’re records because they’re difficult to attain.

That’s especially true when a man becomes the focus of every defensive coordinator and every defensive unit that he faces. Blame shouldn’t fall on Zach Ertz for what we’re seeing from Philly’s offense. The blame belongs with the other offensive weapons that couldn’t step up when those double teams on Ertz occurred. Grade: B

Dallas Goedert, tight end

Though Dallas Goedert is quietly evolving into one of Wentz’s more reliable weapons, we can state that all of the rumors about him being on par with Ertz were slight exaggerations of the truth. Goedert is one of the more reliable young tight ends in the game, but moments like his dropped touchdown pass in Philly’s game versus the Detroit Lions reveal that he still has some growing to do.

That’s okay. It’s only year two. Grade: B
