Every Philadelphia Eagles fan will have different memories of Darren Sproles’ career in the midnight green, but here are five moments no fan will forget.

If you’re like most Philadelphia Eagles fans, you’ve probably already gone to YouTube, pulled up a few Darren Sproles highlights and smiled. Gosh, it would have been nice to see both he and DeSean Jackson on the field, healthy, and at their best at the same time.

Unfortunately, that opportunity was taken from us twice. The first time was in March of 2014. Sproles was acquired by the Eagles in exchange for a 2014 5th-round draft pick, but Chip Kelly decided to release Jackson.

The second time was this season. Sproles was obviously at the end of his career and Jackson isn’t what he once was, but everyone knew, if these two could make magic one more time, 2019’s regular season could be special. Ultimately, it wouldn’t turn out that way. Both made their way to the team’s IR (injured reserve).

For Sproles, that probably means, in all likelihood, that the NFL journey is over. He may not have been on the field for the Eagles Super Bowl win, but his fingerprints are all over helping this team build a culture of winning and professionalism. He’s earned his wings, and no Eagles fan will ever forget his contribution. Here are five great games that we’ll all always remember him for.
