The case for and against the New York Giants.

Love him or hate him, sometimes, Colin Cowherd nails it. Here’s one of those times. The New York Giants are the best fit for Ron Rivera. He already knows the GM David Gettleman. They were together in Carolina with the Panthers.

Have a listen.

John Mara and Steve Tisch aren’t annoying. There are probably some New Yorkers who couldn’t pick Mara and Tisch out of a lineup. Score one for the Giants. New York has great young talent. They have a quarterback who’s far from a diva in Daniel Jones. They have, arguably, the best young running back in the entire NFL, Saquon Barkley. Place two more checkmarks in the box for New York.

Is the NFC a gauntlet? Indeed it is, but the NFC may be the worst division in the conference. New York may wind up with the second pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Add a defensive-minded coach who players seem to love, and the Giants could be back in business.

If you’re a betting man or woman, it wouldn’t hurt to put your money on New York (that’s meant to be taken figuratively). Could New York swap one former Eagles coach for another? Time will soon tell.
