Don’t expect Dallas Goedert and Alshon Jeffery to be satisfied with a little individual recognition following the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 13 drubbing at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.

The stat gurus over at Pro Football Focus dropped their Week 13 NFL Team of the Week, and after decent performances by Alshon Jeffery and Dallas Goedert in the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Miami Dolphins, both found their way onto the list.

Individual recognition is nice from time to time, but it’s safe to say that both would rather have wound up with the team win. They’re too competitive for that not to be the case.

Still, Jeffery and Goedert deserve a little love for getting the nod. Here’s the tweet from PFF.

Here’s what was said about Jeffery.

"The Eagles’ receiving corps hasn’t quite lived up to the hype in 2019, but the overwhelming disappointment didn’t hold Alshon Jeffrey back in Week 13. Though they didn’t do enough to secure the victory, Jeffrey caught all nine of his catchable targets against the Dolphins, racking up 137 yards, one touchdown and eight additional first downs. He caught 2-of-2 contested targets and averaged an impressive 3.11 yards per route run, as well."

Here’s the write up on Goedert.

"The Eagles’ sophomore tight end caught 6-of-6 catchable balls in Week 13 against the Dolphins, racking up 66 yards and five first downs in the process. Two of his receptions went for an explosive play of 15 or more yards, and he averaged 8.7 yards after the catch per reception on the day."

As PFF alluded to In Week 13, Jeffery played 64 snaps, good for ninety percent. He hauled in nine receptions on 16 targets. It seems like that would upset the PFF stat engine, but it is what it is. Those nine catches resulted in 137 yards and a touchdown.

Goedert played 56 percent of the snaps (40) and pulled in six receptions on seven targets, good for 66 yards. If this Eagles offense and defense could ever get in sync and play well at the same time, they might be on to something.
