Recently, the son of a former Giants legend blasted the Philadelphia Eagles, but if you’ve been paying attention, you probably already know what his concerns were.

These days, it’s very easy to miss out on a lot if you’re a sports fan. There are so many avenues to get your information from. Just take all of the morning sports shows for instance. There are constantly five or six sports shows talking about NFL football. Unfortunately, these days, their take on the Philadelphia Eagles hasn’t been flattering.

Just take NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk with Mike Florio. Heading into Philly’s Week 14 matchup with the New York Giants. Chris Simms, Florio’s co-host and the son of Giants legend Phil Simms weighed in with his prediction of the game (but first, he and Florio) blasted the ‘Birds’ for a few moments.

Here’s Mr. Simms take:

"Eli Manning, he’s back. We’re pretty sure he’s back. Giants (are) at (the) Eagles. The Eagles are favored by nine and a half points. (The) Over-under is at 45 (points). The (expletive) Eagles lost to the Dolphins last week. Who the (expletive) knows what the Eagles are going to do in a game anymore? All I know is that, even if the Eagles get in the playoffs, I’m not scared of them. They’re not going to make a run. I think they’re less likely to make a run than the Dallas Cowboys."

Ouch. Mr. Florio followed that up by offering a blistering take of his own. Take a gander.

"I think it will be a different game obviously with Eli Manning. (The Giants) may get a little lift with Eli Manning back on the field. I could see the Giants taking an early lead, maybe even a ten-nothing lead, but if the Eagles have any pride whatsoever, and here’s the thing. If they fall behind, it’s going to get ugly in Philadelphia. They are going to be booing the Eagles, and this is it. This is a playoff game for the Eagles. They can not afford to fall two games behind the Cowboys… So, I think the Eagles win the game 27 to 13, but I am far more intrigued. I know when we were watching the game down in my barn on Monday night, and they have the promo for Giants, Eagles, I’m going ‘Oh (expletive). I’m not watching that next week… But now with Eli manning playing, it adds a little intrigue."

Well, what can be said after that? Truthfully, there are only two ways that someone could respond. One, if you’re an Eagles fan, you’d like to say there’s a rebuttal, but how can anyone disagree with any of it? Second, when did it become cool to curse on live television this much.
