The Philadelphia Eagles received some help in Week 14 after the Chicago Bears defeated the Chicago Bears on Thursday night.

Just when it seemed like the race for the NFC East title couldn’t get any more intense for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys found a way to make things more interesting for Week 14 by coming up short against the Chicago Bears.

All of a sudden, the Eagles find themselves in a similar situation as last week in which they can end the weekend with the same record as the Cowboys if they end up with a win on Monday night over the New York Giants.

After failing to take advantage of the situation last Sunday following an embarrassing loss on the road to the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia hopes for better results this time around against New York, especially since the Giants haven’t won since all the way back in Week 4.

Even though a win over the Giants would still result in the Eagles technically being in second place due to their head-to-head tiebreaker with the Cowboys, Philadelphia would arguably still be in better shape than their rivals heading into the final three weeks of regular season action.

The main focus for the Eagles at the moment is rightfully on Monday’s game with the Giants since this contest is far from a guaranteed win, but also it only seems fair to look ahead down the road in regards to which team will finish on top of the division.

In fact, after Dallas came up short against Chicago on Thursday, here are four reasons Philadelphia should love their chances in finishing on top of the NFC East over the Cowboys when it’s all said and done.
