3. Greg Ward, wide receiver

Okay, let’s not sugar coat things any longer. JJ Arcega-Whiteside may not be a bust yet, but he’s right on the ‘bust’ fringe. That may not even be his fault. Carson Walch, his position coach, has been abysmal. The young guys haven’t developed properly. The veterans have all taken a step backward, and Mack Hollins has played his way off of the team and onto another roster.

The Eagles don’t just want Greg Ward to pop. They need him to. He hasn’t been poisoned by the viruses floating around the Novacare Complex, namely wide receivers coach Carson Walch and offensive coordinator Mike Groh. What everyone wants from Ward may be a lot to ask of him, but welcome to the NFL good sir! This is how it works.

Ward may not be at the top of the depth chart, but with four games remaining, he’ll need to act and play as though he’s the guy. Yes, it’s a ton of pressure, but he can handle it.
