The Philadelphia Eagles will have to adjust to playing without Alshon Jeffery for the remainder of 2019 after the wideout reportedly suffered a season-ending foot injury in Week 14.

Just when it looked like the situation at wide receiver couldn’t get any more frustrating for the Philadelphia Eagles, Monday’s game against the New York Giants took place in which Alshon Jeffery was forced to leave with a foot injury.

After previously missing a few games following the team’s win over the Chicago Bears, Jeffery was able to return to action for the Eagles during Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins, and wasted little time making a much needed impact in the passing game.

Despite the loss, the fact that Jeffery caught nine passes for 137 yards to go along with a touchdown shows just how valuable the wideout can be for Philadelphia when he’s on top of his game.

So with Monday’s game reportedly resulting in Jeffery being done for the season, it looks like the issues at receiver just found a way to become even worse for the Eagles with three games to go.

As bad as it sounds, fans watching the game seemed to have a good idea right away that Jeffery’s injury was most likely season ending due to the receiver’s reaction to the injury alone.

For an offense that was already at a major disadvantage playing most of the year without DeSean Jackson on top of Nelson Agholor recently dealing with a knee injury as well, the Eagles just haven’t been able to catch a break in the injury department at wide receiver.

The fact that Philadelphia’s top receivers at one point during Monday’s game were J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward shows just how bad things have been at the position, but at least the Eagles are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Continuing to compete with the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title without Jeffery will be far from easy for Philadelphia, but the team didn’t come all this way just to go out easy.

Depending on what the next couple of days consist of, here’s to hoping the Eagles bring on some extra help as a result of Jeffery’s injury, because the receiving corps clearly needs all of the extra help possible at this point.
