5 notable wide receivers Eagles should sign after Alshon Jeffery injury
By Dan Parzych
4. Dez Bryant
Over the last few months, one of the best running jokes in the City of Brotherly Love has been the thought of Dez Bryant joining the Eagles since it would take the rivalry with the Cowboys to new levels.
After struggling to find a new team during the 2018 season following his previous release from Dallas, things seemed to finally be looking up for Bryant once the New Orleans Saints decided to give the wideout a shot at the beginning of November.
Unfortunately, Bryant would suffer a torn Achilles tendon just a few days after signing with the team during practice, and the former first-round pick continues to find himself in the same situation as last year when it comes to struggling to find a team.
There was once a time in which Bryant had the reputation for being one of the top receivers in the NFL, and even though he’s far from that level, this still would be an upgrade over some of their current options.
Plus, if Eagles fans weren’t already fired up for Week 16 when the Cowboys come to town with the NFC East likely on the line, just imagine what the addition of Bryant could do for the rivalry.
