Dear NFL: Please declare Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 39’s champion

Did you hear the news? The Patriots are embroiled in yet another scandal. How about we overturn Super Bowl XXXIX and declare the Philadelphia Eagles the winners?

By now, it’s no longer a surprise. The New England Patriots are again the subject of a firestorm. If you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, how about joining the push to get Super Bowl XXXIX overturned? Let’s be honest. At this point, do you really believe that they didn’t cheat all those years ago in Jacksonville?

If someone is able to do the digging or hire a private investigator, there’s no doubt that, as a team, we should all be able to find some evidence. After all, it was a three-point margin of victory. The more you think about this, the more it makes sense. Whatever they did to cheat probably cost us all a game should have been Philly’s first Super Bowl win.

Why is all of this important? Well, if you haven’t heard, the Patriots have morphed back into their old selves as they tried to recreate ‘Spygate’. Just get a load of this statement that they released after being accused of videotaping the Cincinnati Bengals as both teams prepare for an upcoming game.

Let’s recap. There’s been Spygate, Deflate-gate, and every other nasty little thing that we all associate with New England’s dynasty. Did they win six Super Bowls only because of cheating? That probably isn’t fair to say. Having the greatest quarterback in the history of NFL football, Tom Brady, and the greatest coach of all time, Bill Belichick, had a lot to do with that.

Pete Carroll’s decision to pass rather than handing the ball to Marshawn Lynch had a lot to do with it too, but again. They cheat. We all know it. They aren’t even denying it this time. It was many moons ago, but it was also a three-point margin of victory. Let’s look at some tape. Heck, just stop by their facility. They probably have some hidden there.
