Vinny Curry, defensive end

It’s easy to pick on Vinny Curry sometimes. He makes way too much money. He thinks that he deserves what he’s making, and he’s never progressed to a level that any Eagles fan or coach if they’re being honest, would consider satisfactory.

We knew he’d get a lot of snaps in Derek Barnett‘s absence, but it’s Curry. Nobody expected much, but ’75’ proved us wrong. thank goodness he did because after giving up 17 first-half points to a team that had lost eight straight, Philly’s defense needed all hands on deck and a second-half shutout to take care of business versus the Giants.

It wouldn’t have happened without Curry.

’75’ was dominant versus New York, recording two tackles (both were solo and resulted in a loss of yardage) and two sacks. No one’s talking about garbage time sacks either. Every play Curry made was key to Philly pulling this one out. Is he an easy target? Yes, he is, but Philly doesn’t beat the Giants without Curry in Week 14. Period.
