Experts weigh in on Philadelphia Eagles Carson Wentz: One is in, one is out
The experts still can’t seem to get on the same page about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz.
Here’s an unfair statement about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. This guy is, simply, never going to get the credit he deserves until he plays in and wins a Super Bowl. Keep in mind the fact that he has to walk past a statue of Nick Foles and Doug Pederson several times a week.
Was Wentz happy for his team, his friend, and his head coach? You better believe he was, but is there still something inside of him that eats at him because he wasn’t the guy to deliver that elusive Lombardi Trophy to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’? How could anything else be the case?
There’s a problem though. Actually, there are a few of them. Outside of Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders, Wentz’s weapons are either inconsistent or they can’t stay healthy. This Eagles team is in the worst shape that it’s been in since he arrived in 2016.
He has the team’s worst offensive coordinator over that span. Press Taylor is an awful quarterbacks coach. Carson Walch can’t develop receivers. Doug Pederson doesn’t have the imagination to lead this team offensively unless he has a capable offensive coordinator. Groh isn’t that.
It’s amazing how everyone can watch the same quarterback play and have opinions that vary so much, but that’s exactly the case. Love him or hate him, Colin Cowherd moves the needle, and recently, he absolutely nailed what’s going on in Philadelphia.
Take a look.

That same morning, a few hours earlier, Max Kellerman offered a blistering but erroneous soliloquy on ESPN’s First Take. Here’s the commentary.

It’s amazing how two people can watch the same thing and believe two totally different things to be true. The saga surrounding Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz continues, and unfortunately, it won’t end until ’11’ wins the Lombardi. It’s like watching Steve Young all over again, but this time, it’s a right-handed one and he plays in Philadelphia.
