Maybe you haven’t heard, but the Philadelphia Eagles have a mess at the wide receiver position. Here are three reasons to promote Marken Michel immediately.

It seems like forever since the guy we thought would be the Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback, Nate Sudfeld, hit Marken Michel for a 75-yard bomb in Philly’s first preseason game of 2019, but it wasn’t.

It was four months ago. Take a look at one of the few highlights of a very dull preseason.

A lot has happened since then, but here’s one thing that never seems to change. The Philadelphia Eagles have issues at wide receiver. Why does it seem like that’s said every six months? Unfortunately, it’s never been this bad.

Now that we’re well past the trade deadline, there are only two ways to fix this. You can sign somebody or bring someone up from the practice squad. The latter option seems like the most healthy and the easiest transition.

Keep in mind the fact that there were minimal options last time (they called Torrey Smith for goodness sake). Also, their constant quick fix, Jordan Matthews, just re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers. It may be time to give Marken Michel his shot. Here are three reasons why that may be a good idea, outside of the fact that he may be the lone deep threat that this team has.

We haven’t seen any bombs from this Eagles offense since that first preseason game other than the two we saw from DeSean Jackson in Week 1. You see how that worked out.
