5. Results from Week 1

Despite the Eagles ending up victorious 32-27 during their first meeting with the Redskins back in Week 1, Philadelphia knows the results could have easily gone the other way.

Based off the first half of play from that contest, the Eagles appeared to be heading towards a major upset loss that would have been one of the most frustrating ways to begin the new season, which luckily didn’t turn out to be the case as a result of a strong second half.

As previously mentioned, the circumstances will be much different this time around when the two teams square off on Sunday, especially when seeing all of the different players part of the starting lineups for both teams.

Then again, just because there will be different players for both teams doesn’t necessarily mean that Philadelphia will earn an extra advantage, because if Washington was able to compete the way they did in Week 1, the team can certainly do the same in Week 15.

One can only imagine how frustrated the Redskins were feeling at the time knowing they let one slip away against the Eagles, and if they use this factor as motivation to earn some sort of revenge on their rivals, it could cause more problems for Philadelphia.
