So, no one wants to talk about how much better this Philadelphia Eagles receiving corps is without Nelson Agholor huh? Can you imagine if he had played in Week 15?

Think about where we all are as Philadelphia Eagles fans. Normally, an NFL fan looks at an injury report and hopes that those ‘probable’ and ‘questionable’ designations turn and the name associated with it becomes an ‘available’ member of the team by the time game day arrives. Ask yourself a serious question. Do you do that with Nelson Agholor?

When Week 15’s game drew closer, did you actually want him to play, or did you hope that he’d sit this one out?

When we talk about roses growing from concrete, rarely are we referencing football-related injuries, but ladies and gentlemen and Eagles fans everywhere, roses have indeed grown from the concrete.

In Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and DeSean Jackson‘s absence, we’ve discovered that Greg Ward is pretty good. With Corey Clement, Darren Sproles, and Jordan Howard unavailable, we’ve been introduced to Boston Scott.

Week 15 rolled along, and not one time did any of us say, tweet, or even think ‘Man, I wish Nelson Agholor was here’. Not once. Never did it happen. With some of their best players on offense absent, the Philadelphia Eagles have developed some chemistry. They’ve allowed young talent to show what they can do.

Were there growing pains? Yes, there were, but Boston Scott looks like he can play and could be what Donnel Pumphrey was supposed to be. Greg Ward makes one wonder if the Eagles coaches are actually paying attention at practice. We as fans knew that he could play. We definitely knew that he was more deserving of a roster spot than Mack Hollins was.

Think about Week 15’s win, and think about what would have happened had Agholor played. He would have been targeted. He probably would have dropped the ball. Greg Ward doesn’t have seven receptions because Agholor would have robbed him of a few targets. Wentz probably doesn’t look for Ward on third and goal with the game on the line. Then again, who’s to say Ward would have even been in the game?

Philly probably kicks a field goal and goes to overtime. They may or may not lose. Nigel Bradham never gets the scoop and score. The Eagles don’t win by a score of 37-27. Think about it Eagles fans.

We’re talking about a former first-round selection, and here we are, hoping he leaves and hoping that he doesn’t play any more in 2019. Why? The team is better off without him.

ITI published a story asking that Agholor be shut down for the remainder of 2019. We’d like to reiterate that. If we never saw him in Eagles green again, we’d be fine. He’s already made it a difficult proposition for the next guy who wears ’13’ to do so without evoking some awful memory. Please do the right thing, Philly. Deactivate Agholor for the remainder of the season.
