The Philadelphia Eagles could be looking at a banged-up Dak Prescott when taking on the Dallas Cowboys during Week 16.

No one needs to explain just how intense Sunday’s game is going to be for the Philadelphia Eagles when facing the Dallas Cowboys, but it looks like things could get a little more interesting due to an injury Dak Prescott has been dealing with.

Once again, Prescott has continued to be a bright star on offense for the Cowboys throughout the 2019 season, and it only seems like a matter of time before Jerry Jones rewards the quarterback with a hefty new contract to make sure he sticks around for the long run.

But since Prescott knows there will be plenty of time to discuss a new deal once the offseason arrives, the main focus right now for the quarterback is making sure he does whatever it takes to help Dallas clinch the NFC East title on Sunday by defeating the Eagles.

With that being said, it looks like this could end up being easier said than done for Prescott after it was revealed on Wednesday the Cowboys star quarterback is dealing with a few injuries heading into Sunday’s game against Philadelphia.

The good news for the Cowboys is since this shoulder injury that apparently took place during last weekend’s win over the Los Angeles Rams, there’s no reason to doubt that Prescott will miss Sunday’s key Week 16 battle in the City of Brotherly Love.

And while there will be some Eagles fans that will view Prescott’s surprise situation as an advantage for Philadelphia leading up to Sunday’s game, this is the last approach they can afford to take.

For starters, Prescott is a tough enough quarterback where he’s not going to let these injuries stand in the way of him playing in a meaningful game like Sunday since one can only imagine what the offseason will be like if the Cowboys fall short of winning the NFC East title.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing how Prescott actually looks in the game since it’s always easier said than done to play through the pain, but as far as the Eagles are concerned, this shouldn’t change their approach towards the Dallas star quarterback.

If anything, this surprise situation with Prescott should make Philadelphia even more cautious over Sunday’s game, because if the defense is caught sleeping, he will definitely make the Eagles pay for it.
