Here are five current members of the Philadelphia Eagles with the best chance of earning a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame down the road once their careers are over and done with.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles received some amazing news in regards to four legends that used to be part of the team being named finalists for the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

From Harold Carmichael to Dick Vermeil, the Eagles have plenty of reasons to be excited about the team’s four finalists, but also it sparks up an interesting conversation over current members of the roster who arguably deserve to be part of the conversation down the road.

When looking at the current roster for Philadelphia from the 2019 season, there’s a strong case to be made over certain players having a strong chance of punching their ticket to Canton down the road when the time comes.

Even if it takes a little longer since there always seems to be a long list of former players overdue for a spot, it never hurts to get the conversation going when it comes to current Eagles who deserve consideration.

The main focus at the moment may rightfully be on Sunday’s Week 16 battle with the Dallas Cowboys since Philadelphia needs the win just to keep their season alive, but also it’s difficult not to discuss potential future candidates for the Hall of Fame after Thursday’s news.

So to have a little fun in honor of the Eagles seeing four finalists that used to be on the team for the 2020 class, here are five current members from the 2019 roster with a legitimate chance for the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.
