2. Wentz’s fumbles continue to be an issue

The last thing Wentz wants is to establish a reputation for being a quarterback who struggles to properly protect the fumble, but this is exactly what seems to be happening.

For reasons that are difficult to explain, Wentz just can’t seem to figure out a way to overcome the fumbling issues that have been taking place over the last couple of years.

And if the fumbles end up costing the Eagles an opportunity to win the NFC East if they continue against the Cowboys, one can only imagine what the reaction from the fan base is going to be like.

Wentz obviously deserves plenty of credit for helping the offense find success at times in recent weeks when looking at the weapons he has to work with, but this still doesn’t mean he gets to be off the hook for the fumbles.

Even though the main focus at the moment is making sure the Eagles defeat the Cowboys to keep their playoff hopes alive, it’s not too early for Wentz to look ahead at the offseason, and begin thinking of ways to improve this issue.

Now that Wentz is going to be the franchise quarterback for the long run, it’s up to him to show the Eagles made the right choice rewarding him with that hefty extension, and beating the Cowboys would make it seem like even more of a solid investment.
