Like him or not, every Philadelphia Eagles fan shares Stephen A. Smith’s disdain for the Dallas Cowboys. Did you see what he got them for Christmas?

Well, when it was all said and done, the Philadelphia Eagles gave their fans the best gift that they could have. Holiday cheer came early for ‘Birds’ fans as the guys in green, both underdogs and undermanned, took care of business versus the hated Dallas Cowboys. Fans have been celebrating ever since. So has ESPN analyst Stephen A Smith.

The NFL seems to do everything right. Scheduling this NFC East showdown just three days before Christmas was almost ingenious, and on the eve of Christmas Eve, Smith and his co-hosts from ESPN’s First Take debated a few topics, as they always do, before Smith, a man who hates Cowboys fans almost as much as Eagles fans do, opened a gift for Dallas fans everywhere.

Take a look at this one.

Now, even if you can’t stand Dallas (and if you’re reading this, you probably can’t), that’s cold. A gift with nothing in it? That takes the cake.

When you think about it though, Smith is right. Like the guy or not, he normally hits things on the head, and his assessment of Cowboys fans is spot on. They don’t deserve a Merry Christmas!

Let them go on and on about how Dak Prescott is better than Carson Wentz when everything from the film to the eyeball test says otherwise. Let them yell that the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl next season just days after realizing what most of us knew back in September.

They weren’t going to win it this season. They won’t win it next season. They won’t win it the year after that.

Let them celebrate a massive Ezekiel Elliott extension, one that is already biting them and one that will look really bad about two years from now. Let them give Prescott a massive deal as well, one that will guarantee their insignificance for seasons to come. The only thing that would make this better is if they extended Jason Garrett too. Merry Christmas Cowboys fans. Eagles fans everywhere hope your team loses in Week 17 too!.
