20 Prospects Philadelphia Eagles fans should watch during NCAA Playoff
19. Kenneth Murray, outside linebacker/inside linebacker, Oklahoma
If Kenneth Murray becomes a real option for the ‘Birds’, they could set themselves up with what may be the best inside linebacker/outside linebacker hybrid that they’ve had in quite some time.
Jordan Hicks was fragile, but when he was healthy, he was among the best inside linebackers in the entire NFL Should Philly go with a cornerback or wide receiver with one of their top picks? That’s probably fair to say, but if they go with someone like Kenneth Murray instead, it’s a safe selection that may pay off.
He’s physical and always around the ball, and his 95 tackles and four sacks prove that.
20. Jalen Hurts, quarterback, Oklahoma
Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie expressed his desire that Philly take a quarterback in every draft, but that didn’t work out last season. Jalen Hurts may or may not be a pro-level quarterback, but he’s better than Nate Sudfeld.
Write that one down. Let’s see how he does in the College Football Playoff.
Honorable mention: Chase Young, defensive end, Ohio State: Chase Young won’t be around when the Eagles make their selection in 2020, but this may be the first chance for a lot of Eagles fans to see a guy that may chase Carson Wentz around for the next ten years.
Honorable mention: Nyles Pinckney, defensive tackle, Clemson: Unless Nyles Pinckney has an amazing Spring and Summer, he may go undrafted. Then again, he may be a decent guy to take a chance on with one of their final selections.
Honorable mention: Damon Arnette, cornerback, Ohio State: Damon Arnette is another to add to the lists of possible cornerback options. He’s speedy and has come up with 27 tackles and an interception in 2019, but he hasn’t played well and lacks technique.
