The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Seattle Seahawks during Wild Card Weekend on Sunday afternoon.

After the Philadelphia Eagles found a way to hang on for the thrilling 34-17 win over the New York Giants to secure the NFC East title over the Dallas Cowboys, it looks like Doug Pederson‘s squad will be welcoming the Seattle Seahawks to town for Wild Card Weekend.

Even though Seattle technically finished with the better record than the Eagles, the Seahawks failed to win their division after coming up short Sunday night in a tough loss at home to the San Francisco 49ers.

As football fans remember, this will actually be the second meeting of the season between these two NFC contenders after the Seahawks managed to earn the 17-9 the first around towards the end of November, although circumstances will be much different this time around.

Sadly, both Philadelphia and Seattle were much healthier back then, but also the argument can be made that no team has been a bigger victim of the injury bug than the Eagles over the last few months, especially when seeing what Carson Wentz has been working with on offense.

Rightfully so, the Seahawks will most likely be discussed all week as the favorites to defeat the Eagles after seeing how close they came to winning the NFC West, but sleeping on Philadelphia at this point seems like the last approach any team should take.
