1. Keeping Wilson in check
There’s a reason why the Seahawks have only missed the playoffs once during the Russell Wilson era, as the Seattle quarterback continues to find new ways to amaze by the season.
Even this current season, there was a time in which Wilson was considered a top candidate for the MVP award before Lamar Jackson elevated things to new levels to become the clear favorite.
Of course, just because Wilson isn’t going to take home MVP honors doesn’t necessarily mean Seattle won’t be able to make a legitimate run at the Super Bowl, and the Eagles will have their hands full once again trying to keep the Seahawks star in check on offense.
Not only does Wilson tend to make impossible throws out of his nowhere, but his ability to scramble when given the open space makes him even more of a threat.
Philadelphia’s defense certainly did an amazing job holding Wilson and the Seahawks to just 17 points during their meeting in the regular season, but chances are the second time will be a lot more difficult.
Since there’s more at stake with a potential trip to the Divisional Round on the line, expect Wilson to cause plenty of problems for the Eagles.
