Philadelphia Eagles football: 2010s All-Decade Team
The offensive tackles (4): Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, Dennis Kelly
‘Big V’, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, takes a lot of heat, but when he’s been asked to step in and has to be good, he’s been good more often than he’s been bad, except for that mess we saw versus Ryan Kerrigan in 2016 and a few mix-ups here and there in the passing game.
Jason Peters has survived three coaching regimes and is a future Hall of Famer. Lane Johnson is quietly crafting a Hall of Fame resume of his own. Dennis Kelly played right tackle and right guard, and he’s still a quality tackle for the Tennessee Titans, but the Eagles dealt him for Dorial Green-Beckham back in 2016. Big mistake.
The Guards(4): Evan Mathis, Todd Herremans, Brandon Books, Isaac Seumalo
What needs to be said about this list? This mix works in any era of Eagles football. Isaac Seumalo may be seen as the weak link, but his versatility and consistency during his time in Eagles green get him a nod. Evan Mathis, Todd Herremans, and Brandon Brooks are simply three of the best to ever put on Eagles jerseys.
Center (1): Jason Kelce
We’re talking about an all-pro and mainstay when we mention Jason Kelce. He’s as close as anyone can be to being a Philadelphian without actually being born in the city. He’s anchored what’s been the best offensive line in football for a while, and he anchors this all-decade team.
