The Philadelphia Eagles hope to see Miles Sanders healthy enough to suit up for Sunday’s playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Just when it seemed like the situation in the injury department couldn’t get any worse for the Philadelphia Eagles, rookie Miles Sanders was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with an ankle injury.

Even if the Eagles were able to get by the Giants to secure the NFC East title for the second time in three years thanks to a career day by Boston Scott on offense, in order for Philadelphia to be in the best position to take down the Seattle Seahawks, they’re going to need Sanders.

During the draft in April, the Eagles felt confident enough in Sanders being worth a second-round pick, and watching the Penn State product surge in the second half of 2019 shows just how special of a running back Philadelphia has in the backfield.

Like most rookies, Sanders certainly has plenty to work on before he can be part of the conversation of being a top running back in the league, but at least the rookie is heading in the right direction.

As concerning as it was to see Sanders suffer an ankle injury since the Eagles just can’t seem to catch a break in the injury department this season, the good news is this only appears to be minor, and the youngster seems determined to play on Sunday.

Of course, plenty can still happen from now until the start of the game Sunday afternoon in regards to Sanders with his ankle injury, and here are three reasons why Philadelphia desperately needs their running back ready to go for Seattle.
