There are a ton of myths surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks Wild Card game, and it’s time to debunk every one of them.

After clinching the NFC East with an injury-depleted roster, the odds are stacked against the Philadelphia Eagles as they face off against the Seattle Seahawks during Wild Card weekend. Heading into Philly’s regular-season finale, the Eagles had 11 players on injured reserve, four additional starters inactive, and had to watch multiple players get injured during the game.

Despite all of that, they still found a way to clinch the NFC East by defeating the New York Giants this past Sunday. Meanwhile, the Seahawks came up short in their final game as a fourth and goal pass that was inches shy of the goal line kept them from clinching a home playoff game.

As a result, Seattle will travel to the East Coast for a duel with the Eagles at ‘the Linc’. This will be billed as a week-12 rematch that will take place on Sunday at 4:40 PM EST to finish off Wild Card weekend.

As expected, the Eagles are ‘underdogs’ at home as the odds opened with the Seahawks currently being 1.5-point favorites. The Eagles are used to having the odds stacked against them. They’ve also endured a ton of injuries over the course of the past three seasons, and they have never been favored to win a playoff game under Doug Pederson.

The Eagles tend to play their best when everyone counts them out. Yet, there is still strong belief by many that Seahawks have the edge and will ultimately come out on top. While some of the headlines appear reasonable on the surface, many are debatable.

Let’s debunk 3 of these myths surrounding Sunday’s Wild Card showdown.
