Highlights of Philadelphia Eagles best playoff moments under Doug Pederson
Heading into the NFC Wild Card Round, the NFL shared some of the best playoff moments the Philadelphia Eagles have had under Doug Pederson so far.
Think back to January of 2018. Just think about the Divisional Round of that season for a few moments. Think about Doug Pederson, and the Philadelphia Eagles, and that last pass from Matt Ryan to Julio Jones.
Do you ever think of how different life would be right now had Julio Jones come down with that ball? What if the New Orleans Saints made one more tackle and there was no ‘Minneapolis Miracle’?
The Saints and the Atlanta Falcons renew acquaintances one week later in New Orleans for the right to go to the Super Bowl. Maybe the Falcons go on to get their rematch versus the New England Patriots. Then again, forget about all of that. What if Doug Pederson played it safe and there was no ‘Philly Special’? What if he just kicked the field goal?
What’s the point you ask? Life is about moments. Life is full of gambles, and if things vary an inch, history can be re-written. Football works the same way, and on Saturday, the NFL introduces another edition of playoff football. On Friday, the NFL pieced together a clip of the best playoff moments the Eagles have had under Doug Pederson. Take a look.

Every one of those moments still makes you smile, don’t they? That’s why when people say there’s no point in going to the playoffs and there’s no chance our team has of winning, you have to ignore them. Failure to qualify for the postseason means that there’s no chance at a Lombardi Trophy.
Philly wasn’t supposed to win in 2017-18’s season once Carson Wentz went down. Remember that? Then, the Falcons were stopped on fourth down, and Patrick Robinson made a game-changing interception one week later. Then, in football’s biggest game, Nick Foles connected with Torrey Smith on a flea-flicker, and Alshon Jeffery came down with a touchdown catch after a pirouette in midair.
LeGarrette Blount ran through the Patriots defense, and Corey Clement had that toe tap in the back of the end zone, and Brandon Graham made the most famous strip-sack in NFL history. Moments.
On Sunday, the Eagles have a chance to make more, this time with Carson Wentz on the field. Does anyone still feel like this team has no shot and shouldn’t even make an effort to qualify? We thought you’d change your mind.
