After the Minnesota Vikings knocked off the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles or Seattle Seahawks will face the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round.

While the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks will officially be underway late Sunday afternoon, one thing is already certain, which is the winner will head to Lambeau Field for a tough battle against the Green Bay Packers.

Earlier in the day, the Minnesota Vikings pulled off an incredible win on the road over the New Orleans Saints in overtime 26-20, meaning as the No. 6 seed in the NFC, they will automatically take on the San Francisco 49ers next weekend.

Even though the main focus for the Eagles at the moment is on handing the Seahawks a loss to make sure they advance to the next round of the playoffs, it is still comforting to know that Philadelphia could face a team they already defeated earlier in the regular season.

The circumstances may be completely different this time around between the Eagles and Packers since the first meeting took place all the way back at the end of September, but just knowing Philadelphia is capable of winning their on the road should be a huge confidence boost.

At the time, Green Bay was still one of a few remaining undefeated teams in the NFL, and while they certainly are a major threat as the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the Eagles know the Packers are beatable.

After watching Philadelphia overcome all sorts of obstacles in the injury department just to be in this position, one can only imagine what a Divisional Round showdown in Green Bay would be like with the Packers back in the playoffs following a two-year absence.

But as previously mentioned, before the Eagles get excited about potential meeting with the Packers at Lambeau, Philadelphia needs to make sure they take care of business against Seattle first to top off Wild Card Weekend.

Otherwise, just like the Saints, the Eagles will spend the rest of the playoffs watching from home, and wondering what could have been, which no Philadelphia fan wants to see.

Defeating Green Bay for the second time in four months would be amazing, but unless Philadelphia puts themselves in position to make this opportunity happen, it’s not even going to matter for the Eagles.
