Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2020 mock draft following Wild Card Round
By Dan Parzych
Fourth Round: LA-Lafayette OT Robert Hunt
Protecting Wentz has become a top priority for the Eagles over the last couple of years as a result of the numerous injuries the quarterback has unfortunately been dealing with.
And since Philadelphia’s offensive line isn’t getting any younger, it only makes sense to add depth during the upcoming draft.
Since the Eagles aren’t the only team that will be looking to take advantage of the top prospects on the offensive line, the team could benefit from looking to one of the mid rounds to add someone.
If Philadelphia wanted to keep an eye on a lineman who could see his draft stock rise over the next couple of months, Robert Hunt from LA-Lafayette seems like a candidate worth following after an impressive career with the Rajin’ Cajuns.
Taking players from smaller schools can be risky from time to time, but with Hunt’s blocking ability, this seems like the kind of player that Philadelphia would love to help protect Wentz.
Even though the head injury from the Wild Card Round was out of Wentz’s control, the Eagles are still going to be somewhat concerned about his previous injuries, and will do whatever it takes to keep him healthy enough to suit up each game.
