The 2019-2020 season is officially over for the Philadelphia Eagles, and many of the stars took to social media to express their appreciation for each other and for the fans.

17 NFL games, including one in the NFC Wild Card Round, and just like that, the season is over for the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s perhaps the one downside to loving the world’s greatest game. It just doesn’t last long enough. It seems like it just yesterday when Carson Wentz hit DeSean Jackson for those two long touchdown passes. A few months later, here we are. A team that battled all season eventually ran out of steam at the end.

On the Monday following Philly’s second 17-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in less than two months, many of the players took to social media to thank each other and the fans.

Here are a few posts from a few of the leaders on this team. This ought to make you smile.

Zach Ertz, a fan favorite, spoke with the Philly media and touched on his love for his team and the fans of the city that he plays in. Take a look at this one and then something from one of the new guys.

If you’re an Eagles fan, you’re probably disappointed today, and that’s fine. There’s no reason to be sad though. The Eagles won the NFC East with a bunch of scout team guys and retreads.

dark. Next. Wentz doesn’t owe anyone an apology

As usual, they had to battle through being bitten by the injury bug. Philly has a ton of decisions to make about their roster. They should have some money to spend and draft picks, possibly ten. Some retooling and a few adjustments should have this team right back in the thick of things come 2020’s regular season. Yes, that was said this past season and the one before it, but we really mean it this time.
