There’s a possibility that the Philadelphia Eagles could lose Jim Schwartz to the Cleveland Browns. Here are five possible replacements if that happens.
No one has even played a down of Divisional Round football in the NFC or AFC, and already, people are on fire for the 2020 NFL season. That’s what makes our country’s greatest game so interesting. There are truly no days off. As far as the Philadelphia Eagles are concerned, there’s been talk of roster turnover, the possibility of losing someone in the front office, and Jim Schwartz possibly being given a chance to coach again with the Cleveland Browns.
Schwartz’s interview was the first of three, with the Browns still needing to meet with the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski on Thursday and with Josh McDaniels of the New England Patriots on Friday. They’re expected to choose someone on Saturday.
As most of you know, Schwartz has been a head coach before. That was from 2009 until 2013 with the Detroit Lions. Coach Pederson didn’t state anything in his press conference with Howie Roseman on January 8th that demonstrated Philly would make a coaching change, and it doesn’t appear that he has any intention of moving on from Schwartz.
If Schwartz is offered the Browns job and takes it, he wouldn’t have any choice though. Here are five candidates who would be worthy replacements if he leaves.
