The Philadelphia Eagles would be foolish to hang on to Ronald Darby at this point. He’s most likely gone come free agency. Here are ten suitable replacements.

Say what you want to say about Ronald Darby. The Philly media has grown weary. Philadelphia Eagles fans are sick of him. The only person who just refuses to say he’s cooked is Jim Schwartz.

It’s strange, but a secondary that never played well at the beginning of the season got better in his absence. Conventional wisdom would tell you that people normally don’t attack a team’s ‘best’ cornerback, but every time Darby was on the field, that’s exactly what opposing offenses did. Normally, when they did so, they were successful. The nightmare is finally over.

Darby’s contract is at its end. Another offseason is upon us. There’s been no extension. Darby figures to walk. That frees up money.

The Eagles obviously need help in the secondary. They should have ten picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. Hopefully, they spend at least two, including an early one on a cover guy. Here are ten free agents that are attractive if the Eagles decide to sign one.
