For Kendall Fuller, the 2019 NFL campaign was an off-year. He battled through injury for much of the regular season, and for that reason, he wasn’t his normal self, but there’s enough tape on him to evidence that he’s still one of the best at his position.

He’s definitely better than at least three corners that the Eagles have on their roster right now. You all can argue among yourselves about who those three are.

Marcus Peters would have been a doggone option for anyone looking to snag a top-tier cornerback once the 2020 offseason rolled around, but the Baltimore Ravens had to go and screw that up by giving him a three-year, $42-million contract extension on December 28th.

The guy on the other side is pretty good too. That would be Jimmy Smith. He comes with a little more baggage though. He missed the first month of the season in 2018 after being suspended for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. He also missed seven games in 2019.

This season, he’s credited with 30 tackles, an interception, six passes defended, and a sack. We’ll have to wait and see how he looks in the playoffs. Another downside is he doesn’t satisfy Howie Roseman‘s desire to ‘infuse some youth’.
