James Urban, quarterbacks coach of the Ravens

What if the Eagles robbed someone else’s staff for a change? We all know the affiliation that the Eagles have with a few of the other teams in the NFL. Once upon a time, there was some interest in someone that they already knew, Doug Pederson, when they found an older and more mature version sitting on the Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff serving in the role of their offensive coordinator under former Eagles coach Andy Reid.

That’s another reason why it’s comical when some of you make statements like ‘Doug has no idea what he’s doing’. That’s another story for another day.

NBC Sports Philly’s Reuben Frank turned a few heads immediately after Groh’s firing by stating the following.

"Here’s an interesting name for the Eagles’ O.C. job: James Urban. (He) was the quarterbacks coach on Andy’s staff with Doug in 2009 and 2010 and now (he’s the) Ravens’ quarterbacks coach under Harbs (John Harbaugh) and (he’s) widely credited with helping develop Lamar Jackson."

Here’s one that a ton of Eagles fans is praying for. You’ve seen what Urban has done with Lamar Jackson that Ravens offense. What could he do with Carson Wentz, and Miles Sanders, and Zach Ertz, and the weapons this Eagles team has? It makes the mouth water, doesn’t it?
