2. Theories on Mike Groh

It’s hard to just dismiss Philly’s two-year run with Mike Groh by just simply stating. ‘He sucked’ or ‘he did a bad job’. Clearly, Groh was in over his head, but Pederson made sure to compliment him on the job that he did for the organization over the course of the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

"First of all, I appreaciate both of tose guys (Groh and Walch), everything (that) they did for me. Obviously, Mike was on staff when we won a championship, and ultimately, I have to make the decisions that I feel are in the best interest of the football team in moving forward, and that’s what I did."

With Groh out, Philly obviously needs an OC. Tons of names have been mentioned, and whether Philly goes the route of kicking the tires on another run with Pat Shurmur or they bring in a proven offensive mind that has had success like Jim Caldwell, one thing is certain. This doesn’t need to be something Philly rushes through.

Here’s a thought. Why place someone who’s already with the organization in that spot. The coach discussed that a little as well.
