Here are ten options if the Philadelphia Eagles decide not to extend Jordan Howard and decide to go the route of diving into the free agency pool to replace him.

It’s going to be an interesting offseason if you’re an NFL fan, particularly if your heart lies with the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the biggest topics all season has been what happens after Jordan Howard’s final year of his deal ran out.

The Chicago Bears traded Howard to the ‘Birds’ on March 28th of 2019 in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round pick. On the surface, it would appear that Philly won in that deal. There aren’t many sixth-round selections that will turn out to be better than Howard is, but in the deal, Philly was given an opportunity.

They had one year to see if Howard could play (he can) and if he could stay healthy (he couldn’t). Howard missed a ton of the regular season with a ‘stinger’ that had Eagles head coach Doug Pederson giving us all the same diagnosis week after week.

His starting running back was ‘day-to-day’ for seven weeks. When he returned in the season finale, he got no work. He didn’t get an opportunity in the Wild Card Game either. Now, Philly fans and the media are on opposite sides.

Do you keep Jordan Howard or not? Here are the ten best possible replacements if the Eagles dive into the free agency pool to do so.
