2. Teddy Bridgewater

First off, let the record show that Teddy Bridgewater as a backup quarterback seems like the ultimate long shot the current New Orleans Saints quarterback made it clear this season he’s worthy of being the starter.

Even though the Saints lost right away in the playoffs, the team never would have been able to win the NFC South for a third year in a row if Bridgewater didn’t step up on offense when the team needed him the most after Drew Brees suffered a thumb injury in Week 2.

Knowing New Orleans, the team will do whatever it takes to keep Bridgewater around since Brees isn’t getting any younger, and there’s always the chance of him becoming the successor to the future Hall of Famer.

Not to mention, there’s always the chance of another team in need of a starting quarterback willing to pursue Bridgewater since this would seem like an easy decision since every player would prefer to start instead of watch from the sidelines.

But since nothing is guaranteed, and Bridgewater could always end up entering 2020 in the backup role once again, it only seems fair to list him as a candidate for the Eagles this offseason.

Long shot or not, just the thought of Bridgewater coming to Philadelphia would be a major upgrade over their current situation.
