Philadelphia Eagles: 10 free agents to potentially replace Nate Sudfeld

1. Marcus Mariota
During the middle of the 2019 season, the Tennessee Titans made the switch at quarterback from Marcus Mariota to Ryan Tannehill at quarterback, and there’s no question this decision ended up paying off in a big way after the team ended up earning the No. 6 seed in the playoffs.
For years, Mariota was considered the future in Tennessee when seeing how effective he was at times under center, but what Tannehill has been able to do for this offense over the last few months has been incredible to witness.
Assuming the price is right, chances are Tennessee will do whatever it takes to keep Tannehill around, and since Mariota could be too expensive to keep as a backup, this seems like a scenario that could work to the advantage of the Eagles to help fill their need.
Then again, when looking at some of the current quarterback situations across the league, there’s a chance that Mariota could draw interest from a few teams that would be willing to give him the opportunity to compete for their starting job.
But if this doesn’t happen, and Mariota ends up having to settle for a backup role, this seems like an easy decision for the Eagles to explore since his starting experience alone makes this worth the consideration.
