7. Jeff Driskel

Finishing the 2019 season on injured reserve was a crushing blow for Jeff Driskel since he was earning some time as the starter for the Detroit Lions while Matthew Stafford dealt with a back injury, but at least the quarterback was able to show off his skills in three games.

Even though Driskel failed to win a single game in those three starts, he can’t be blamed for the losses since the Lions in general as a team struggled, and were one of the worst teams in the league for a reason.

With better protection from the offensive line, maybe Driskel would have been able to win one or two of those three games started, but unfortunately living in the past isn’t going to change anything.

Instead, the Eagles should view Driskel as a potential target worth considering if Sudfeld is no longer part of the picture since a fresh start in a better offense could potentially help Driskel finally reach an effective level.

After spending each of the last two years on the Lions and Cincinnati Bengals, it’s time for Driskel to end up on a contender for a change to make his job somewhat easier, whether it happens to be on the Eagles or someone else.

Otherwise, the struggles are only going to continue like they did during the three games in 2019.
