Let’s hope the unnecessary criticism of Wentz is at its end. If you watched this man play at his best after Philly lost to the Miami Dolphins and were 5-7, and you still can’t see that this is one of the best signal-callers in the game, please defer any conversations about football to someone else.

You asked him to stay healthy. He did that. You asked him to show leadership. He did that. You asked him to elevate his teammates. Check! ’11’ did everything for the ‘Birds, except for playing multiple positions.

We’ve been over the numbers so much, we’re sick of them. Let’s just use the eyeball test.

He had to rally his team versus the Giants in Week 14. Philly needed the drive to tie the game and a drive to win the game in overtime. ’11’ got it done. Then, Philly needed a game-winning drive to beat the Washington Redskins a week later. Wentz got it done.

Related Story. Carson Wentz doesn’t owe anyone an apology. light

The Eagles had to beat a Dallas Cowboys team that had beaten them four straight times, one that had more talent. Wentz did that, and then he led his team to a division-clinching win in Week 17 versus the Giants. Clutch? We think so!
