Philadelphia Eagles fans will probably find this to be interesting. Jason Garrett could actually stay in the NFC East. He’s interviewing with the Giants.

So much for a quiet ‘Hump day’ huh? Just when you thought there might be an opportunity to focus on some other things, the NFL grabs all of the headlines again. Here’s something that Philadelphia Eagles fans might find interesting.

The rival New York Giants have brought Jason Garrett to the ‘Big Apple’ for an interview, according to the NFL Network. This one raises the antenna, doesn’t it? Here are three immediate thoughts on the news.

1. A puzzling offseason for the Giants continues.

There’s been so much talk about what the Giants may or may not do that stories are starting to run together. Weren’t they going to interview Garrett before? No, wait. That was that brief moment that we all thought that he was a candidate for the head-coaching position.

Then, they hired something called Joe Judge to be their 19th head coach. Then, Tom Pelissero reported they hired Patrick Graham as their defensive coordinator. Recently, Adam Schefter reported that tight ends coach Lunda Wells was being hired as the Dallas Cowboys’ new tight ends coach.

It’s enough to make one’s head spin. The ‘G Men’ are all over the place.

2. Garrett does have some ties to the Giants organization.

Though Garrett is largely seen as a Cowboy, and rightfully so, he does have some ties to the Giants organization. He spent three seasons there (2000–2003), and to his credit, he is an offensive coordinator. He just may not be a head coach. That’s okay. All jobs aren’t for all people.

3.. Philly’s long-term dominance over New York should continue.

Once upon a time, the Giants seemed like they were a stable franchise that drafted well and made wise decisions. Now, they just look like they’re making things up as they go along. All of a sudden, the Giants look like they have no plan and no idea about what they want to do.
