With the NFL free agency period just over a month away, the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have their sights set  on two of the top corners on the market.

According to Tony Pauline of ProFootballNetwork.com, the Philadelphia Eagles plan to address their hole at cornerback through free agency this offseason, with Dallas Cowboys star Byron Jones and Denver Broncos playmaker Chris Harris at the top of the team’s wish list.

With approximately $44 million in cap space to work with, money won’t be the issue for general manager Howie Roseman when deciding on which corner he wants to bring in. The real question is, which of these defensive backs is a better fit?

Harris has been linked to the Eagles in the past as a possible trade deadline acquisition, but given the fact that he’ll be 31-years-old heading into next season, handing him the long-term contract he’s been asking for doesn’t seem like something Howie Roseman will do.

Not to mention, Roseman already emphasized the need for the Eagles to get younger this offseason earlier this month.

That leaves us with Jones seeming like the best option, who will surely be the most sought after cornerback once free agency hits in early March.

Without question, Jones would have a huge impact on Jim Schwartz‘s defense and finally provide the Eagles with the stud corner they’ve been searching for.

After hearing the news of the recent report, here are three reasons Jones should be Roseman’s top target in free agency for the Eagles come March.
