They just won’t quit (and it’s sad). Can you believe Philadelphia Eagles legends Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens are still going at after all of these years?

Hold on! These guys are still angry? You wouldn’t believe it unless you were hanging around on YouTube and social media on January 22nd, but that Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens rivalry is still a thing. It’s been about a decade and a half since that whirlwind we called the McNabb and T.O. partnership literally ripped the Philadelphia Eagles in half.

It’s 2020, and these two just won’t let it go. Are you ready for a little drama on your Thursday morning?

Recently, McNabb appeared on Bleacher Report’s Untold Stories, and in his estimation, T.O.’s antics are what ripped what could have been something special apart. Take a look (parental guidance suggested/some language).

As you might imagine, T.O. wasn’t going to let that ride without saying something. Mr. Owens fired back on his Twitter account right after dinner time on the East Coast.

"Hey (Master-host of Untold Stories)!! Let me know when u want to hear the truth!! Did (you) ask him about those DUIs and what he was doing at the parties I threw at my house during “our time” in Philly?!! Hmmm Don’t worry, I’ll tell ya!!"

Mr. ‘Getcha Popcorn Ready’ didn’t let up. Yes, there’s actually more.

"I can’t wait 2 tell my story!!! I’m bringing , doing sit-ups and gonna eat a couple cans of “CHUNKY SOUP!!”This guy is a joke!! Talking bout I broke up (the Eagles)!! Did (you) tell em that (you) vouched for the Eagles to pay Westbrook but NOT ME!! It’s on!"

There isn’t an Eagles fan in the Delaware Valley or anywhere else in the country that doesn’t know the story. In the early 2000s, the Eagles were three-time bridesmaids in the NFC Championship Game, partially because they were lacking real weapons for McNabb at wide receiver (yes, figuring out the wide receiver position here has been an issue for longer than you might imagine).

Philly picked up Dorsey Levens, Jevon Kearse, and T.O. in the offseason prior to the 2004’s regular season. Philly ripped through everybody.

Eagles shouldn’t be upset over missing out on Gruden. light. Trending

On November 28th of that year, Philly visited Giants Stadium. Somewhere in there, a moment came when McNabb told T.O. to ‘Shut up and get back in the huddle’ (clean version). T.O. never forgot it. ’81’ broke his leg on December 19th of 2004 versus the Dallas Cowboys. He didn’t like McNabb’s response when ‘5’ was asked about how they’d carry on without him.

In true heroic and Rocky-style fashion, T.O. picked himself up off the canvas, worked his way back on the field for Super Bowl XXXIX. He played out of his mind, McNabb threw up, threw two interceptions, Philly lost by three points, and these two have been going at it ever since.

This has to be said though. When we were all younger, all we knew was ‘5’ was still an Eagle and ’81’ wasn’t, so we turned on T.O., especially when he went to the Cowboys (well, that part is understandable). Let’s be honest here though. Much of this hurts because everyone knew Philly should have gotten at least one Super Bowl out of the deal.

Hot. The best moments of Andy Reid’s era. light

McNabb showed poor leadership on the field, in the huddle, at the press conferences, and he’s still making those same mistakes today. Let’s be honest. T.O. is no angel, but ‘5’ has to shoulder most of the blame for whatever happened and is still happening between these two. Why? It’s simple. The quarterback is supposed to be the leader right? It’s just sad that after all of these years, these two great Eagles just can’t let it go.
