There aren’t any days off in the NFL. As exciting as Philly’s Week 15 Sunday night win over the Rams was, they had minimal time to celebrate. They had to fly back to Philly to host a Week 16 game versus the Houston Texans.

Much of the narrative surrounding this game was just like the week prior. Nick Foles was starting in place of Carson Wentz. Philly had to win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and on the surface, Philly was lined up against a team that they weren’t better than.

What transpired was a back-and-forth affair that resulted in a last-second field goal by Jake Elliott. Philly would turn the ball over, adding to some of the drama, and Deshaun Watson would rally the Texans over and over again. The offense took another step to finding cohesion and resembling the one that led this team to a Super Bowl. The defense, despite allowing a late rally, showed that they were almost ready for a playoff run as well.
