2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Eagles focus on safety with Grant Delpit

Speaking of the Minnesota Vikings, just when it seemed like Mike Zimmer’s team was going to make a surprise run to potentially compete in the Super Bowl following a big win over the New Orleans Saints, they came up way short against the San Francisco 49ers.
Two years ago, part of the reasoning behind the signing of Kirk Cousins was the belief the quarterback was the missing piece in helping the Vikings reach the Super Bowl, meaning anything short should arguably be viewed as a complete bust.
It was one thing for Minnesota to miss out on the playoffs completely during the 2018 season, but watching the team struggle the way they did in the Divisional Round against San Francisco adds even more pressure heading into 2020.
Since the Vikings have one final shot with Cousins entering the final year of his contract to show the investment was worth it, Minnesota needs to improve their offensive line over the next few months.
Over the last few weeks, Louisville’s Mekhi Becton has watched his stock increase, and could end up sneaking into the first round since plenty of teams are in need of help at offensive line.
Becton has the kind of power and mobility that could result in the lineman starting as a rookie right away if he were to join the Vikings, so fans shouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be a strong consideration.
