While free agency and the draft will be pivotal for the Philadelphia Eagles, they’ll still need breakout seasons from several stars on the current roster.

Vice president and general manager Howie Roseman and his Philadelphia Eagles team know this offseason carries plenty of weight. With all of the young talent that already exists on the roster, the ‘Birds’ need to cash in on as many opportunities to get better as possible. They have to win in both the draft and in free agency.

Despite all of the attention around potential offseason acquisitions, it’s also important for the coaching staff to develop some of the younger guys to ensure that they make significant strides in the upcoming 2020 regular season.

We’ve seen offseason acquisitions fail in the past. No one needs to be reminded about names like Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and DeMarco Murray, but while much of that is ancient history, Roseman needs to be wary of potential busts in both the draft and in free agency.

It’s always nice to see guys improve or explode onto the scene and make an impact. These types of players can make or break a team’s season, especially if a team falls victim to injuries, something the Eagles are familiar with. In 2019, we discovered guys like Boston Scott, and we learned that Greg Ward Jr. can be a great player at this level. They turned heads in the most recent season. Who will step up in 2020?

Here are four Eagles primed for a breakout in 2020 that their team can most definitely use.
